Every Fall over Columbus Day Weekend, the Danbury FRIENDS hold its Big Book Sale. Volunteers of all ages transport books, set up tables, and work on the floor during the sale. In addition to Friends, local schools and community groups send their members.
OCTOBER BOOK SALE
Volunteers collect books on the second Saturday of each month, and they are sorted all year long. Their work makes the Danbury FRIENDS Book Sale one of the most eagerly awaited in the State of Connecticut. The Book Sale is a festive community event!
The FRIENDS of the DANBURY LIBRARY Board of Trustees is a group of community volunteers who meet once a month, ten months of the year. They are responsible for making sure the organization remains true to its mission, safeguards its assets and operates in the public interest.
